Your mission
As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be the first point of contact for service requests, ensuring tools perform flawlessly and customers receive the highest level of support. Your role also extends to building and maintaining our service organization as SCIL continues to grow.
- Install, maintain, and repair SCIL tools at customer internal and external.
- Respond to service requests within agreed timeframes (e.g., 1-hour response for specific customers).
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance with precision.
- Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with colleagues for additional support.
- Document all progress, follow-ups, and work instructions in our ticketing system.
- Assemble and test sub-modules, fixtures, and integrate hardware for small-scale projects.
- Validate equipment performance SAT to ensure it meets high-quality standards.
Your expertise and qualities
We’re looking for a hands-on engineer with the skills and mindset to excel in a fast-paced, high-tech startup environment:
- Background: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field OR Middle-level applied education (MTS) with a solid track record.
- Experience: 5+ years in high-tech industries, with strong troubleshooting and repair skills for complex systems, especially in cleanrooms.
- Technical skills: Knowledge of mechanics, electronics, pneumatics, software, and chemical processes. Experience with Beckhoff TC software is a plus.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel globally (10-30%) and adjust to varying working hours.
- Team player: Strong communication skills, customer focus, and a collaborative attitude.
- Languages: Proficient in English; Dutch and German are a plus.
